redefining student living
Sustainability Meets Playful Design
Lumis Vienna is a new student residence building nestled within the Campus Altes Landgut development, shaping the future of student living. Sustainability takes center stage, with the building aiming to achieve an ÖGNI Gold Green Building Certification.
This commitment extends to the interior design, where natural and recycled materials are thoughtfully selected. The flexible, multi-purpose furniture reflects our dedication to adaptability, allowing spaces to evolve for various purposes over time.
The common areas embody a youthful and inviting atmosphere. Honest natural materials and abundant biophilic design elements weave throughout the interior, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor spaces with lush greenery. Playful graphic art and versatile loose furniture inspire creativity and social interaction, establishing a warm and vibrant setting.
The goal was not only to create a cozy & comfortable but also user friendly atmosphere demanding a sustainable design with a playful touch. Like the variety of activities and functions of the areas, the look and feel is a sensitive mix of greenery natural materials like plywood, playful fabrics in warm tones and contrasting textures such as exposed concrete and polished ceramic tiles.
